At an award ceremony held at the Forrestal Building in Washington, DC, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced that HukariAscendent has been selected as its 2011 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) of the Year.  This award recognizes the exceptional performance of a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business directly facilitating the advancement of core DOE mission objectives and requirements.

HukariAscendent was nominated for this distinction by Los Alamos National Security (LANS) in recognition of our significant contributions in advancing DOE’s mission success. The company has continuously supported multiple nuclear and non-nuclear facilities and programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory since 2003.

Our success is rooted in the core values upon which the company was founded – honesty, integrity, reliability, quality, and deep respect for individuals” says Kenneth G. (Ken) Hukari, owner and founder of the company.  “Our employees are our most valuable resource, and I am proud to recognize the significant contributions they made toward this award.”

In its nomination, LANS acknowledged that “Quality performance is one of HukariAscendent’s strengths. HukariAscendent personnel have consistently demonstrated technical excellence and many of their employees are known and respected in the industry for their technical competency.”
