Regulatory and Licensing

HukariAscendent has been supplying technical consulting and engineering service personnel since 1999 to government and commercial projects. Hukari personnel have the experience and expertise to support nuclear power plant licensing requirements from inception through decommissioning and on-site fuel storage.  Our resource base includes personnel who can support successful, timely interaction with regulatory staff. Related experience of our resources includes development of communication plans, presentations to NRC staff, development of responses to formal NRC requests for information, answering third party interrogatories, development of testimony in support of hearings, and interactions with the public. We also have experience in the project management of licensing activities in a wide variety of regulatory and technical arenas.

Licensing and Regulatory Interface – HukariAscendent provides all facets of nuclear licensing support to various government and commercial facilities throughout all phases of a facility’s life cycle.  Our personnel have performed technology assessments of many of the new reactor systems offered today and supports development of advanced reactors, small modular reactors, fuel enrichment and fabrication operations, as well as medical isotope production.

Our resource base includes personnel who can support successful, timely interaction with regulatory staff. Related experience of our resources includes development of communication plans, presentations to NRC staff, development of responses to formal NRC requests for information, answering third party interrogatories, development of testimony in support of hearings, and interactions with the public. We also have experience in the project management of licensing activities in a wide variety of regulatory and technical arenas.  For example, HukariAscendent resources have direct experience supporting Measurement uncertainty recapture (MUR) uprates and Extended power uprates (EPU); experience that will also be applicable for Stretch power uprates.
