There are various levels of CAD Designer positions that we provide for our clients across the country. A sample of responsibilities for these positions is provided below. CAD Designer
- Applies acquired design and drafting skills and techniques to design and develop 3D models, engineered design details, and other supporting documentation; create project specifications; and develop project cost and schedule documents.
- Reads, interprets, and generates and/or checks new and revised design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff.
- Supports engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents.
- Applies Configuration Management aspects of construction versus operational documentation.
- Performs field walk downs of systems with minimal guidance, interprets field direction, generates minor design details, and directs junior drafters.
- Organizes and plans design projects/task budgets and schedules.
- Participates as a member of an integrated engineering design project group.
Experience with the following software is highly desirable:
- AutoCAD
- Creo
- Hexagon S3D
- Intergraph PDS
- MicroStation
- Revit
- SolidWorks
