On October 12, 2012, Fluor B&W Portsmouth LLC (FBP) awarded one of four prime site-wide IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity) contracts to HukariAscendent for Contract Labor Support Services at the Portsmouth site. HukariAscendent won two awards: one as a prime and the other teamed with a large business. The contracts have three one-year Option periods. HukariAscendent has opened a local office in Piketon, Ohio and will provide a coordinated staff augmentation support to FBP’s decontamination and decommissioning contract at Portsmouth. This scope of work includes a broad range of resource categories including: Technical; Engineering; Waste Management; and Nuclear Safety and Operations Support. HukariAscendent will support FBP in regulatory planning and implementation, environmental remediation, facility surveillance and monitoring, D&D, waste management, environmental safety & health, quality, nuclear safety, engineering, planning, and site-wide integration.
