There are various levels of Mechanical Engineer positions that we provide for our clients across the country. A sample of responsibilities for these positions is provided below. Mechanical Engineer
- Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, perform analyses, perform testing, issue reports, and maintain related data.
- Maintain liaison with design and drafting group.
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
- Perform analysis, hand calculations, modeling and simulation of structural and mechanical systems and components.
- plans for installations and modifications.
- Perform linear and nonlinear, static, and dynamic, analysis of such factors as stress, force, vibration, and material plasticity. Compare results to the provisions of governing codes, standards, and orders.
- Provide support to design teams in development of design requirements, alternative analysis, equipment selection and sizing, vendor equipment summaries and evaluations, and drawings.
- Develop and check specifications, drawings, supporting analysis and calculations and Engineering Design Files.
- Contribute to and develop cost estimates, and provide status on schedule and budget.
- Document analyses with accurate and concise reports.
- Plan and schedule engineering efforts associated with assigned projects.
- Maintain timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
- Keep proper engineering files and records.
- Understand industry codes and standards, and use computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
- Prepare engineering analysis, design requirement development, and generate design output documents.
- Support procurement of mechanical equipment.
- Provide start up trouble shooting.
- Coordinate review of design documents and records among various organizations such as Operations, Engineering, Construction.
- Develop work instructions and work Perform job hazards analysis for installations and modifications.
- Provide oversight and inspection of field installation and modification activities.
- Perform post installation and modification evaluation and testing to ensure completed work meets applicable design, specifications, codes, and standards.
