Waste Management

HukariAscendent personnel provide key waste management functions for significant government projects and sites.   We provide all facets of waste management support from generation to disposal.  Hukari’s extensive support for government facilities includes:

Hukari personnel have experience with all phases of Waste Management including waste generation, waste characterization, packaging, storage, transportation, and disposal. We have reviewed work packages for generation of potential waste streams and developed process control procedures.  Our personnel have demonstrated expertise in waste characterization including non-destructive assay and real time radiography (RTR), and evaluating acceptable knowledge and characterization documentation related to meeting waste acceptance criteria for all types of waste including Transuranic (TRU), Low Level radioactive waste (LLW), mixed LLW (MLLW), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Industrial, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) wastes.  Our expert personnel have managed the storage, packaging and shipping activities including verification of compliance to waste acceptance criteria and DOT shipping requirements for all waste types shipped to appropriate approved disposal sites, including commercial and local disposal sites.

Hukari personnel have performed multiple audits and assessments of waste programs and have participated in readiness reviews for startup of waste processes and facilities.
